Lion’s Classic Car Restoration has been a part of Lion’s Automotive since 1990. In our early years, we would take on small restoration projects, everything from minor customizing to installing aftermarket upgrades. However, in recent years classic car restoration has become more popular and many of our customers have refurbished  classic vehicles, either restoring to a stock original look or personal customization.

Recently we had the privilege of helping to restore a 1939 Helms Bakery Truck.   Upon seeing the renovated van, people’s responses were overwhelming. People would smile as they reminisced about their childhood and would say things like, “When I see that Helms truck, I can smell the donuts,” or “That truck brings back many fond memories. I can see myself running down the street hoping it would stop.”

This experience has helped me to understand the joy and the satisfaction one feels when driving a restored or customized classic car: the smell of new upholstery, the sound of the engine, the feel of the ride, and the new painted body.
